A NEW series of public installations have been launched to mark the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black and the ceremonial handover of the putter from New York to Adare, host of the 2027 Ryder Cup.

Limerick City and County Council kicked off the series this Monday (September 22), which will see a plethora of Limerick locations full of Ryder Cup and Adare Manor branding and displays over the next three weeks.

Among the installations are a seven-metre giant golf ball in King John’s Castle, as well as a three-metre golf ball at Adare Village Hall, which will be on display for one week.

There will also be logo projections on the external walls of King John’s Castle, new road signs in Adare and Ballyneety to celebrate their roles as host of the 2027 Ryder Cup and Junior Ryder Cup respectively, as well as bunting, banners, and flags in the area.

Branded flags will fly high at local authority buildings and across Limerick City bridges, with banners also set to feature in Limerick city centre.

“These striking installations are designed to capture attention both locally and globally, as millions of viewers tune in to the Ryder Cup and the symbolic handover to Limerick,” a statement from the Council explained, with photography enthusiasts encouraged to get snapping and sharing the sights.

Limerick City and County Council will also be releasing a number of promotional videos in the coming weeks to help elevate Limerick’s profile on the national stage ahead of the flagship golfing event in 2027.
