LIMERICK’S Aspersion Music Collective promoted and curated live alternative music in the city for many years starting out in 1999 using venues such as The High Stool, Bakers, The Boat Club and Costelloes among others. The collective brought to Limerick the likes of Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, Fugazi and Electric Eel Shock and a gig that nearly happened by Interpol.
The organisers say, “Interested in contributing to our zine? Memories, flyers, posters and pics – We need your help putting the story together. We’re putting together a list of shows, dates, venues and support acts too – get in touch if you played an AMC show and have a date as our collective memory is slightly fuzzy in places”
If you have memories, photos or videos of AMC events (no camera phones in those days!) share them using this email – [email protected].
