COLLEGE students are officially back in Limerick and this month’s Twilight Thursday is fully embracing their return to the city.

The relaunch of the series for the chillier months will offer over 50 events and special offers for students and families across the county to enjoy.

As part of the relaunch, DJ and producer duo NEW ERA will perform in Limerick as part of the new ‘Twilight Sessions’ series.

With over 20 million streams and a million followers, the duo will perform their warehouse party with tickets now available to purchase on Eventbrite.

A cheque for โ‚ฌ1,423.36 to homeless outreach charity Novas was presented at the relaunch in The Copper Rooms on O’Connell Street.

The funds were raised thanks to generous contributions from the public during a previous Twilight Thursdaysโ€™ silent disco hosted in
partnership with Spin SouthWest and CWB Productions Limited.

Mayor of Limerick John Moran commented said that โ€œas winter approaches and the evenings grow darker, Twilight Thursdays offers a bright spot on the calendar, a chance to come together, share experiences, and make memories”.

“Iโ€™m proud to support this initiative, which has quickly become a monthly highlight thanks to Council staff and the enthusiasm of local businesses and the public.

“I especially encourage students returning to Limerick, or arriving for the first time, to join us on September 25 and be part of the movement to reinvigorate our cityโ€™s night-time economy”, the Mayor added.
