Special education support services “urgently needed”, says locals

LOCAL schools and family organisations hosted a visit from Special Education and Youth Minister Michael Moynihan to discuss the โ€œurgent need for support services for children and familiesโ€.

Le Chรฉile National School, Gaelscoil Sheoirse Clancy, and the Limerick Child and Family Centre, previously raising the โ€œcrisisโ€ in the Dรกil last year, told the Minister about the urgent need for support in onsite speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, counselling, and educational assessments.

Le Chรฉile deputy principal Shane Donoghue said that the Ministerโ€™s visit โ€œbrings hope to our communityโ€ in Southill, Galvone, and Limerick Cityโ€™s southside.
