LOCAL schools and family organisations hosted a visit from Special Education and Youth Minister Michael Moynihan to discuss the “urgent need for support services for children and families”.

Le Chéile National School, Gaelscoil Sheoirse Clancy, and the Limerick Child and Family Centre, previously raising the “crisis” in the Dáil last year, told the Minister about the urgent need for support in onsite speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, counselling, and educational assessments.

Le Chéile deputy principal Shane Donoghue said that the Minister’s visit “brings hope to our community” in Southill, Galvone, and Limerick City’s southside.
