INVESTIGATIONS are ongoing in one County Limerick town after Gardaí seized a firearm and what they believe to be a large haul of cultivated cannabis plants.
Members of the Newcastle West Community Engagement unit of the Limerick Garda Division carried out the search last week, on September 19.
Gardaí said the search led to members of the force seizing a .22 calibre pistol and €8,000 worth of what investigating Gardaí believe to be cultivated cannabis plants.
Photos shared by Gardaí show a number of bulging bags of the suspected drug.
