The fire and shadows procession, Some bones won’t stay buried, takes place on Saturday October 25.

There will also be Halloween events in Lough Gur, Limerick Harvest Festival and City Pumpkin Patch, and thrilling fire performances by ROGU Firestorm.

For musical fans, Morbid and Sons will offer a macabre experience in a Victorian “pop-up funeral shop”, where death is sold with humour and theatrical flair.

In the county, the Barnagh Halloween Festival will offer a weeklong programme of events with pumpkin hunts, mystery tours, crafts and games while Desmond Castle in Newcastle West will be transformed as part of their Halloween festival.

There will also be a host of spooky events at the Hunt Museum including Samhain Tales by the Limerick Fireside.

Mayor John Moran said that “Halloween in Limerick is a showcase of our creativity, culture, and community spirit. With this year’s expanded programme, we’re inviting everyone to experience the magic, mystery, and mischief that makes Limerick the true Home of Halloween.”

Council director general Dr Pat Daly added that the additional investment to this years Halloween events “matches our commitment to growing Limerick’s reputation as a cultural and event destination”.
