A NEW creative hub in Dromcollogher, in the form of the Bridge House Art Studio, has officially opened its doors.

The opening night saw an exhibition of works by local primary school students of portraits of local heroes and sporting stars.

Parents, grandparents, and community members gathered to admire the childrenโ€™s artwork and to celebrate a space that has quickly become a place of joy, learning, and connection.

The school, founded by local art teacher Julie Corkery, has been running art classes for children and adults for the past year, and was officially launched on September 26.

Julie Corkery founded Bridge House Art Studio, she said, โ€œto create an environment where children can feel safe, supported, and free to explore their creativityโ€.

โ€œThe studio is especially proud of its inclusive and neurodiverse ethos, ensuring that all children can find their place, learn new skills, and socialise in a welcoming setting.โ€
