AN animal-loving Limerick lady was given the honour of naming one of two new baby red panda cubs at Fota Wildlife Park.

The cuddly cubs were born to panda parents Suzi and Grga in June this year, with Fota calling on the public to help name their new furry friends.

Limerick lady Nuria Costa emerged as one of the competitionโ€™s winners, naming the female red panda cub Koshi โ€“ after a river in their native Nepal.

The male cub was named Momo, by Charlie Lynch from County Cork, which is Nepali for โ€˜dumplingโ€™.
