FIANNA Fáil councillor Catherine Slattery quizzed the local authority about the ongoing issue of flooding in Woodlawn Close, off Woodlawn Park.
“When the rain is heavy two houses in the area are at risk of flooding and the Council are aware of this issue,” Cllr Slattery said at September’s Metropolitan District meeting.
In response, the Council said that the Roads Department in conjunction with the Housing Department have conducted extensive surveys of the storm water system and cleared any blockages.
“We have also scheduled any repair work that is required. We will continue to monitor the situation and carry out the work needed to improve the situation,” Cllr Slattery was told.
