DUBLIN band’s first collection features production from Gilla Band’s Daniel Fox.

Adore have released their debut EP ‘BITER’, a biting collection that documents the group’s evolution since forming in 2022.

The five-track release blends punk sensibilities with crunchy guitar work and a powerful rhythm section, creating what the band describes as “a long lesson in being loud and biting back”. The EP combines material written both before and after the band’s formation, exploring themes around childhood behaviours that persist into adulthood.

‘BITER’ benefits from the production expertise of Daniel Fox, known for his work with acclaimed Irish post-punk group Gilla Band. Fox handled producing, engineering, and mixing duties whilst also contributing stylophone and guitar to the recordings.

Since forming, Adore have built momentum rapidly within Ireland’s alternative music scene. Their 2023 debut single “Postcards”, released through Blowtorch Records, garnered strong reviews from Irish music tastemakers and established the band’s reputation for their uncompromising sound.

The EP represents a significant step forward for the group, showcasing their ability to channel raw punk energy whilst maintaining songwriting sophistication. With Fox’s production providing a polished yet aggressive sonic framework, ‘BITER’ captures both the band’s live intensity and their growing musical maturity.

Adore play Dolans Kasbah this Saturday October 4.
