FOUR flights have already been diverted to Shannon Airport this Friday (October 3) as Storm Amy wrecks havoc across the country.

A statement from the airport confirmed that Shannon is operating a full schedule as normal, despite the stormy conditions, with no reported delays as of 5pm today.

“However, we are closely monitoring weather conditions and recommend that passengers stay informed by checking with their airlines for any possible updates throughout the day,” an airport spokeswoman said.

The spokeswoman confirmed that four flights have already been diverted to Shannon Airport due to the adverse weather conditions.
