IN memory of one of the club’s stalwarts from the 1960s and ‘70s, UL Bohemian hosted the Annual Pat Lawler Tournament.
He died suddenly in 1983 and a competition has been held in his honour on an annual basis ever since.
This was the 41st year of the tournament.
Teams that participated were winners Garryowen, Nenagh Ormond, Old Crescent, Shannon, Ennis, Bruff, St. Mary’s/Thomond, Clonmel, Young Munster/Richmond and Cashel.

Pat’s son Mossy is a the current skills and assistant coach with Munster, for whom he lined out on almost 70 occasions as a player.
Among the sponsors was UL Foundation.
