ALLIANCE Medical is proud to announce a donation of €5,152 to the Irish Cancer Society this week, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to supporting cancer research, patient care, and vital community services across Ireland.
The funds were raised through a company donation and a coffee morning held at the head office in Limerick.
Staff from across the organisation came together to support the Society’s mission to improve the lives of those affected by cancer. This donation reflects Alliance Medical’s dedication to making a meaningful impact beyond healthcare diagnostics.
“We’re honoured to contribute to the incredible work of the Irish Cancer Society,” said Eimear O’Donnell, HR director at Alliance Medical. “Our team is passionate about supporting causes that matter, and we hope this donation helps further the Society’s efforts in cancer prevention, treatment, and support.”
Alliance Medical operates diagnostic imaging centres across the region, providing essential healthcare services to communities nationwide. With over 600 employees in Ireland, the company is committed to delivering high-quality patient care while actively engaging in initiatives that support health and wellbeing beyond clinical settings.
In its ongoing efforts to promote early detection and better outcomes, Alliance Medical provide the scanning service for the Lung Health Check Screening Programme, with Alliance Medical’s bookings team based in Limerick playing a key role in coordinating access to this life-saving initiative.
Alliance Medical has also just recently announced that a PET CT scanning service is coming to Limerick before the end of this year.
The Irish Cancer Society relies heavily on public donations to fund its services, including free cancer support, research, and advocacy. Contributions like this help ensure that no one in Ireland faces cancer alone.
