Double gold victory for Limerick radio station at IMRO Radio Awards

A MAN with a voice recognised in every home and office across Limerick was presented with the Gold Award at this yearโ€™s IMRO Radio Awards as the local/regional Speech Broadcaster of the Year.

The silken-voiced Joe Nash, of Limerickโ€™s Live 95, beat out stiff competition from Alan Corcoran of South East Radio and Frank Mitchell from U105 for the top spot with his Limerick Today programme.

Live 95 gained another accolade, taking home the Gold Award for best local/regional current affairs programme for the affecting โ€˜A Womanโ€™s Worst Nightmareโ€™, which also featured on station director Nashโ€™s flagship Limerick Today show.

Limerick woman Louise Cantillon, of Today FM, took home the Gold Award for Music and Entertainment Presenter of the Year.
