COUNTY Limerick group water schemes have been recognised for their work at at the 2025 Group Water Scheme Excellence Awards.
The event, hosted by the National Federation of Group Water Schemes (NFGWS) in association with the Local Authority Services National Training Group, celebrates the achievements of Ireland’s rural water sector.
West Limerick Group Water Scheme was celebrated receiving an Excellence flag in water demand management and climate action.
West Limerick Group Water Scheme Manager Eddie Sheehan also delivered a presentation on Water Demand Management and Climate Action.

The winners were announced by the Minister of State for Nature, Heritage and Biodiversity, Christopher O’Sullivan TD.
