
IN DIVISION 1A of the All-Ireland League Young Munster suffered their third successive defeat, when they lost away to defending champions Clontarf 28-26.
Trailing 21-0 at the break, The Cookies rallied after the break with tries from Hubert Gilvarry, two from Shay McCarthy and another by Shane OโLeary. OโLeary kicked three conversions.
Closer to home, Garryowen put a halt to Instoniansโ great run with a comprehensive 37-14 win at Dooradoyle in 1B.
Alex Wood scored a sensational hat-trick of tries for the Light Blues and Fionn Rowsome and Des Fitzgerald also scored tries and Laughlan Stewart kicked two conversions and a penalty.
In 2A, Shannon recorded their first win of the campaign with a 37-31 home win against Banbridge. Matt Te Pou, Alex Long and Josh Costello scored tries for Shannon, who were also awarded a penalty try. Jamie Gavin kicked three conversions and three penalties.
Elsewhere, Old Crescent suffered their first defeat of the campaign, as they lost at home to Greystones 37-32.
Trailing 31-13 at half-time, the home sideโs second halffightback just fell short. Stephen Kiely scored three tries and John Lyons and Timmy Duggan got one each. Josh Cosgrove kicked a penalty and a conversion, and Jamie Duggan also added a conversion.
In 2B; UL Bohemian made it three wins from three with a hard earned 14-7 away win at Buccaneers.
Jordan Mills and Darren Ferrar scored tries for the Robins and Oisin Fagan converted both.
In 2C, Thomond continued their great run with a third maximum point win at Liam Fitzgerald Park with a 54-32 victory against Dolphin.
Evan Maher and Colin Slater each scored two tries for the home side, and Andrew Lyons, Luke Fitzgerald, Sam Birran and Jamie McGann nabbedone each. Evan Cusack kicked seven conversions.
Elsewhere, Bruff came from 15-3 down to defeat Bective Rangers 25-15 at Kilballyowen Park. Shane Duggan, Andrew OโByrne and Patricio Neheun were the Bruff try scorers, and Paul Collins kicked two conversions and two penalties.
