CLUB Limerick (GAA) London is to host a landmark fundraising event next month.

To be held at the prestigious Pan Pacific Hotel, ‘Celebrating All Things Limerick’ will bring together diaspora from across the UK for an evening of connection, celebration and collaboration.

It is pencilled in for Wednesday November 19.

“It will serve as a platform to highlight current initiatives driving progress in Limerick, while also creating opportunities for the diaspora in the UK to reconnect with their roots, network with each other, and engage with key organisations back home. It also intends to build new links between Limerick-based businesses and similar leaders in the UK,” stated Mike O’Riordan, Limerick GAA secretary.

“A key goal of the event is to strengthen connections among the Limerick diaspora — from professionals and entrepreneurs to students and lifelong supporters — and to foster new social and professional networks. It offers an opportunity for those living abroad to stay informed, involved, and inspired by what is happening in their home county.”

The guest list includes GAA figures Jarlath Burns, John Kiely, Jimmy Lee, Declan Hannon, Paul Maher, Cian Lynch and TJ Ryan, along with Liverpool FC lead physiotherapist David Breen (himself a former county hurler with Limerick) and Ian Lynam, founding partner of Northridge Law.

Proceeds raised will support the training and development of Limerick’s senior hurling and football teams, with funds being directed towards high-performance supports, improved training infrastructure and facility upgrades.

“These investments are essential to maintaining the high standards and competitiveness of Limerick teams at the inter-county level,” O’Riordan said.

A drinks reception is timed for 7pm, with dinner to be served 30 minutes later.
