A LIMERICK Heritage Week event has secured a place on the shortlist for the 2025 National Heritage Week Awards.
The annual awards celebrate the most engaging Heritage Week events and projects, bringing together the top initiatives from across the country.
Nominated at this year’s awards is the Wild Child Day – All About Otters project by Maigue Rivers Trust.
The event, which took place on August 23 at the Lough Gur Visitor Centre, saw otter expert Albert Nolan provide a fun and family-friendly session on otters.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin on October 17.
