THE Maigue Rivers Trust have extended an open invite to local residents, families, and community groups to take part in a special celebration of the Maigue this month.
The Trust’s Celebrating the Maigue community evening will take place from 7.30pm on Monday October 20 at Fitzgerald’s Woodlands Hotel in Adare.
The evening will engaging talks and an opportunity to learn more about the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Maigue.
Historian Paul O’Brien will discuss the social and environmental history of the river, and its role in shaping the local community.
