AT the end of the latest edition of the coveted Limerick Senior Hurling Championship, extra time was necessary to separate champions Na Piarsaigh and Doon at the Gaelic Grounds.
Nearing the ordinary finish, Derek McGrath’s side appeared on course for the retention of a title won for the first time only a year ago when captain Darragh O’Donovan fired home a spectacular goal.
However, eight-time winners Na Piarsaigh ensured further entertainment for a decent crowd when the returning Conor Boylan brilliantly netted at the death.
It finished 2-17 apiece after normal time.
