Limerick farmers benefit from income support funding

MINISTER of State at the Department of Justice and Limerick County TD, Niall Collins, welcomed confirmation that 4,467 payments worth €21,475,467.04 will be made to Limerick farmers under the 2025 Basic Income Support for Sustainability and Complementary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability.

A total of €510.9million in payments are set to be made to 110,499 farmers nationwide. “These payments are a vital support to farm families and give a real boost to family farm income,” Minister Collins said.

“These payments further underline government’s commitment to supporting farm families and protecting the viability of farming livelihoods to the maximum extent possible.

We are focused on listening to farmers, acting on their concerns and being absolutely committed to continuing to help them,” he added.
