Limerick stores bring home laurels

THREE Limerick-based stores were honoured at the 2025 Checkout National Grocery Retail Awards, held at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Dublin.

Gerry Casey’s Londis Ennis Road, received the award for Ireland’s Best New Store and was also a finalist in Ireland’s Best In Store Off Licence category, while Casey’s Londis Dock Road, was presented with the award for Ireland’s Best Deli Offering and was a finalist in Ireland’s Best Food-To-Go Offering category at the ceremony.

Broderick’s SPAR Croom won the national award for third successive year and was once again presented with the award for Retail Store of the Year Small Supermarket.

The National Grocery Retail Awards highlight best in class performance in retailing and honour those who help Ireland’s pioneering stores and retail outlets achieve levels of service and product excellence that set them apart from their competitors.

Paying tribute to Casey’s Londis, Londis sales director Conor Hayes said: “I want to offer my wholehearted congratulations to Gerry Casey and David Tarrant and all the teams in Casey’s Londis Dock Road and Casey’s Londis Ennis Road on their national award successes. They are great champions for the Londis brand and are fully deserving of this national recognition.”

The National Grocery Retail Awards are one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the Irish grocery retail calendar and those honoured are recognised as being industry standard bearers.
