Now, with the latest update now of the app now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, appointments can now be viewed at most HSE hospitals.
Participating hospitals include University Hospital Limerick, University Maternity Hospital Limerick, Ennis Hospital, Nenagh Hospital, and Croom Orthopaedic Hospital.
St John’s Hospital in Limerick City has this week also gone live with the latest update to the app.
John Hannafin, chairman of the UL Hospitals Group Patient Council, said that he new update in patient accessibility is “a positive step that will allow patients keep track of important hospital appointments, and I would encourage anybody with a smartphone to download the app and give it a try”.
“People who download the app will be sent a notification shortly after their appointment is created,” Mr Hannafin explained.
Mr Hannafin added that “importantly for patients who are less comfortable with new technology, they will continue to receive appointment letters and in some cases text reminders”.
The latest app update is available for download on the App Store and Google Play. To access personal health information, users must have a verified MyGovID account. For more information, see hse.ie/HSEapp.
