AS Christmas approaches and Limerick begins to shimmer with festive cheer, The Old Quarter Pub & Townhouse on Little Ellen Street is inviting the community to embrace the spirit of giving through itsย Angel Tree Appealย in aid of ADAPT House.
The initiative, organised by Catherine, operations manager at The Old Quarter, aims to bring a little magic to local children supported by ADAPT House โ a Limerick-based refuge providing essential services to women and children escaping domestic abuse.
At the heart of The Old Quarter now stands the Angel Tree, beautifully decorated with tags representing children who might otherwise go without a gift this Christmas. Members of the public are encouraged to take a tag, purchase a suitable present, and return it unwrapped to The Old Quarter. Each gift will be delivered directly to a child supported by ADAPT House, helping to bring hope, comfort, and joy during what can be a very difficult time.
The appeal will run from November 13 to December 18, giving everyone in the community an opportunity to get involved. Whether visiting for a meal, catching up with friends for a festive drink, or simply passing through the city centre, patrons are encouraged to pause, pick a tag, and make a meaningful difference.

This Christmas, The Old Quarter and ADAPT House are calling on the people of Limerick to come together in generosity, kindness, and compassion.
Be an angel. Take a tag. Bring a gift. Brighten a childโs Christmas.
