2025 is Clonlara’s fourth consecutive year entering the Supervalu Tidy Towns Competition and the best year yet, scoring 332 points in the Village Category.
Clonlara has seen a steady increase in points over the last four years and 2025 marks an increase of 17 points from 2024’s entry.
Judges particularly praised the lack of presence of litter on their visit to Clonlara, and admired the street-scaping and careful planting at the village centre, the ongoing “Marsh Fritillary” butterfly biodiversity project and clear presence of cross community alliances with the primary school and camogie and hurling clubs.
The judges referred to Clonlara as a “delightful community-driven village”.
