STORIES behind the historic air disasters involving Shannon airport will be told by the author of Falling Stars, Peter McGarry, on November 27 at 7.30pm in Dooradoyle Library.
The event is free but call the library to book a place.
Falling Stars documented the history of Shannon Airport crashes 1946-1961, and a second book co-authored with Limerick journalist, Vincent Power, Rising Stars celebrates the golden age of aviation in the same era, especially the role of Shannon Airport.
Peter will give a lively 40 minute talk on some of the personal stories behind the air tragedies and there will be a question and answers session afterwards.
