TWO people were arrested this Saturday morning after a vehicle was found entering an ‘unauthorised area’ at Shannon Airport.
A Garda statement said that the two, a man and woman aged in their 20s, were arrested and detained at Garda stations in County Clare under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Gardaà said that this morning at around 9.30am “a vehicle entered an unauthorised area” of the airport, at which point it was “intercepted by security agencies on duty including An Garda SÃochána, Óglaigh na hÉireann, and the Airport Police Service”.
“Investigations are ongoing,” Gardaà said.
