Since the opening of the Limerick Greenway, café owners say it has “been a major driver for local business”.

“By transforming the old railway line into a safe and stunning route,  Limerick Greenway has significantly increased tourism and footfall, bringing visitors eager for an authentic rural experience and a chance to explore the countryside.

“Greenway Café 1709 has benefited from this new wave of visitors and it has helped strengthen their service offering at the Rathkeale Hub.”

To celebrate being Limerick Greenway’s November Business of the Month, Greenway Café 1709 are offering everyone who congratulates them on being Business of the Month 10 per cent off their order.

A spokesperson for Limerick City and County Council said: “The Business of the Month initiative celebrates the fantastic local businesses that make the Limerick Greenway experience so special — from the cafés and bike hire spots to the attractions at our hub towns of Rathkeale, Barnagh, Ardagh, and Newcastle West.”

“It’s our way of giving back to the people and places that bring the Greenway to life — showcasing them across Limerick Greenway’s website and social media channels, and strengthening the community spirit that defines West Limerick.”
