GET ready for the most magical adventure of the festive season! – The Lime Tree Theatre is bringing brilliant panto magic with Red Riding Hood – running from December 7 2025 to January 4 2026!

After three years of sell-out shows that had audiences roaring with laughter and singing along to every tune, the theatre is thrilled to present this year’s magical production of Red Riding Hood!

This isn’t just any ordinary tale about a girl in a red cloak. Written by the talented Liam McCarthy and directed by the wonderful Joan Sheehy, this version of Red Riding Hood is packed with surprises, belly laughs, and toe-tapping music that will have everyone – from your baby sister to your great-granny – dancing in their seats!

Poor old Granny has come down with a terrible illness, and only our brave heroine Red can help find the medicine to make her better. But there’s a problem – the medicine is hidden deep in the dark, mysterious woods where wolves and spooky creatures lurk behind every tree! Will Red make it through the forest safely? Will she defeat the Big Bad Wolf? You’ll have to come along to find out!

Red Riding Hood

Leading the cast is the incredibly talented Hazel Park from Shannon, who will be bringing Red Riding Hood to life on stage. Hazel has an amazing background in musical theatre – she studied at the famous Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, where she even won the prestigious Lonsdale Scholarship of Vocal Excellence for her beautiful singing voice!

Before heading to London, Hazel trained at some of Limerick’s best stage schools, including Spotlight Stage School and the Limerick School of Classical Ballet.

She’s performed in loads of brilliant shows like Peter Pan, Rapunzel, and Chicago. With her experience and talent, audiences are in for a real treat!

Joining Hazel are some familiar faces who’ve delighted panto audiences before: Aidan Crowe, Jessica Bray, Cora Fenton, and James Corr are all returning to the Lime Tree stage. They’ll be joined by exciting new additions Patrick Ryan and Saoirse Daly, plus a fantastic ensemble cast including Eimar James, Grace Burke, Jack Moloney, Jennifer Connell, Seán McInerney, Siofra Cantillon Mann, and Zoë Allman Walsh.

The production promises to be an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza filled with laughter, excitement, and a sprinkle of Christmas magic.
