GARDAÍ seized over €6,000 worth of cocaine after stopping a driver at a routine checkpoint.
That’s according to the An Garda Síochána Limerick Facebook page, which explained that, during a search of a car at a checkpoint in Croagh last week, a driver was stopped in an uninsured vehicle.
During the search, Gardaí found cocaine worth an estimated €6,500 and a weighing scales. The driver was also tested for drugs and failed.
A court date was to follow. Gardaí warned of the dangers of drug driving, adding that two other drivers were arrested in Rathkeale during the same period after being found to be under the influence of drugs.
