
NEVEN Maguire is back in Limerick this week with his two-part special RTÉ One programme Neven’s Christmas in Limerick.
The popular chef will explore Limerick City and visit some of the most respected food producers and chefs the Treaty has to offer, with the focus on Christmas food, drinks, and recipes.
Neven will also prepare the mightiest of feeds – with recipes for a slow roasted shoulder of lamb and cinnamon and mincemeat swirls all on the menu, sure to provide some inspiration ahead of the big Christmas feast.
Speaking ahead of the second episode, set to air this week, Neven said that he “was delighted to explore Limerick City for my Christmas programmes this year and I was inspired by the people I met”.

The celebrity chef added that the people of Limerick “were so welcoming and proud of what they do, and where they come from”.
“I was also honoured to visit the historic St Mary’s Cathedral and enjoy performances of beautiful Christmas music.”
Neven also paid a visit to The French Table restaurant, tucked away off Limerick’s Dock Road on Steamboat Quay, where chef Thomas Fialon cooked his festive recipe for goose breast with chestnuts.
He also samples a range of teas from around the world at Cahill’s Tea on Wickham Street in the heart of city, before enjoying afternoon tea in the boutique hotel No 1 Pery Square with owner Patricia Roberts.
The episode airs this Thursday (December 11) at 8pm on RTÉ One.
