70 NEW highly skilled jobs are on the way to Limerick following an announcement from pioneering company, OpenChip, that it is expanding its Irish operations.
The expansion will see a new design centre at Gardens International in Limerick. OpenChip also develop platforms and software stacks for next-generation AI and supercomputing.
There are already approximately 40 experienced OpenChip R&D staff based in the Limerick facility, with further growth anticipated over the coming year.
The investment is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland. Mayor John Moran welcomed the investment, saying: “OpenChip’s decision to expand in Limerick is a very significant endorsement of our ability to support world-leading innovation, research and high-skilled employment. It is yet another vote of confidence in our city centre.”
