MAURICE Noonan (Granagh Ballingarry) was the recipient of the Community and Games for All accolade at the Munster GAA Awards Banquet held at Muckross Park Hotel in Kerry at the weekend

Noonan has been a leading performer on the wheelchair hurling scene over the last number of years.

He captained Munster to this year’s League and Championship double.

Limerick great and senior from 1999 to 2014, John Galvin (Croom) was inducted into the Munster Football Hall of Fame, but the three-time All-Star nominee was unfortunately absent following the unexpected death of his mother Helen.

Towering midfielder Galvin was Player of the Match in the heartbreaking 2010 Munster Final narrow loss Kerry at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney.

The hurling inductee was Paul Flynn of Waterford.

Joe O’Connor (Kerry) and Brian Hayes (Cork) were crowned Munster Footballer and Hurler of the Year, respectively.
