Munster XV named to face Ospreys

MUNSTER have made significant changes from the side which accounted for Gloucester in the weekend cup tie for Saturday’s URC outing away to Ospreys.

The Munster side has been named for Saturday’s Round 7 URC clash against the Ospreys at Dunraven Brewery Field (5.30pm).

There are six personnel changes and two positional switches.

There are three changes in the forwards and three in the backs with Jeremy Loughman, Fineen Wycherley, Alex Kendellen, Paddy Patterson, Tom Farrell and Calvin Nash all coming into the starting WV.

Loughman comes into the side where he is joined by Niall Scannell and Michael Ala’alatoa in the front row with Jean Kleyn and Wycherley lining out in the second-row.

Kendellen comes into the back row at openside while captain Jack O’Donoghue shifts to the blindside with Gavin Coombes remaining at number eight.

There is a new half-back partnership with Patterson and Jack Crowley linking up while Farrell comes into the side to join Alex Nankivell in the centres.

In the back-three, Shane Daly moves to the left wing with Nash taking his place on the right wing for what will be his second appearance this season. Mike Haley retains his place at full-back.

Munster’s next home fixture in the competition is against Leinster at Thomond Park on December 27 (7.45pm), a fixture which is sold out.
