THE annual NOVAS Christmas Sleep-Out in Limerick City raised over €20,000 and donations are set to continue throughout the festive season.
More than 40 people braved the winter weather on outside Brown Thomas to put a spotlight on the growling homeless figures in the Mid West.
In Limerick, NOVAS provides emergency homeless accommodation, social housing, health and recovery services, family support services and street outreach.
All these services have experienced a significant rise in demand over the past 24 months, according to NOVAS.
NOVAS Street Outreach also provides a warm meals, advice, support, and signposting to up to 50 individuals. And there is still time to donate this Christmas on novas.ie.
