FILM in Limerick is calling for crew interested in working across a number of unscripted television opportunities.

The production is expected to expand across the region (Limerick, Clare, and Tipperary) in 2026 as the Mid West prepares for one of its busiest years in unscripted production.

The new tax credit for unscripted content announced in the budget has already generated significant interest from producers seeking to base upcoming series in the region.

Film in Limerick is now inviting both experienced crew, including those who have primarily worked in scripted drama, and new entrants looking to begin their careers in the screen industry to register for its newly launched Unscripted Crew Database.

Paul C Ryan, regional film manager at Film in Limerick, said: “The Mid West has seen massive growth in scripted film production in recent years, with TV shows such as Foundation and The Wayfinders filming throughout the region, as well as feature films like The Pope’s Exorcist and Double Blind.”

Earlier this year, Don’t Forget The Lyrics, an unscripted American game show was filmed at Limerick’s Troy Studios. The production hired trainee crew and engaged with local businesses.

Film in Limerick is also travelled to participate in Focus London as part of the Irish sector delegation, promoting the region to international producers and seeking to secure further investment and production partnerships for 2026 and beyond.
