A LAST call before Christmas has come from the Irish Blood Transfusion Service, who is hosting a number of donation clinics on the run up to the festive season.
“While most of us enjoy a well-earned break, hospital patients continue to rely on the kindness and generosity of blood donors.
For them, this is not a holiday period — their need for life-saving blood does not pause for Christmas,” the service said.
Clinics will take place at the Castletroy Park hotel on December 21 from 11.50am to 3.10pm, on December 22 from 4.20pm to 7.40pm, and on December 23 from 3.20pm to 6.40pm.

Another clinic will be held at the Greenhills Hotel on January 2 from 1.50pm to 5.10pm.
