A DRIVER was nabbed doing 122km/h in a 60km/h on the N15 in Oola, County Limerick.
The offending motorist was clocked at that speed by Gardaà on duty for the Christmas road safety campaign, which continues into January. During the third week of the operation, between Monday December 15 and Sunday December 21 inclusive, there were six fatalities on the roads and 13 serious collisions that resulted in a number of people receiving serious and life-threatening injuries, Gardaà said.
170 people were arrested during this period for driving under the influence of an intoxicant (alcohol and drugs).
