LIDL shoppers across Limerick raised more than €7,200 for Family Carers Ireland as part of this years ‘Trolley Dash’ fundraiser.

The annual event saw six lucky winners bag a trolley full of festive goodies for free to enjoy this Christmas.

Lidl’s charity partner Family Carers Ireland have contributed to an overall total of more than €270,000 in funds raised from ticket sales for the dash.

100 per cent of proceeds raised will support family carers and young carers across the country.

One of the six Limerick winners was Andrew O’Sullivan from Dooradoyle with his wife Clare. He managed to grab over €400 worth of Lidl’s award-winning Deluxe festive food and treats at the Lidl Childers Road store.
