A NEW state-of-the-art laboratory at the University of Limerick (UL) is set to transform science and engineering education, thanks to a major philanthropic gift from Ei Electronics to the UL Foundation.

This is hoped to enhance hands-on learning and experimentation across multiple programmes including aeronautical, biomedical, civil, mechanical, design and manufacturing, digital mechatronics, and electronic and computer engineering.

Dr Mick Guinee, Ei Founder and Chairman commented: “We are delighted to support this project. Like UL, Ei Electronics has been embedded in this region for over 40 years. We are committed to fostering and supporting the development of the University and future talent – especially STEM.”
