THE search is on for Limerick’s community heroes as part of a nationwide callout to recognise four people who go out of their way to help others.
People across Limerick are being invited to nominate someone they know for the AXA Community Hero Award.
Four people will be selected from around the country receiving €20,000 each to donate to their chosen charity.
People can be nominated in one of four categories –Â road safety, mental health, women’s safety, and wellbeing and sustainability.

Nominations can be submitted online www.axa.ie or at any AXA branch nationwide. Nominations are open until January 5, 2026, with the winner announced later that month.
