A HORSE was seized by Limerick City and County Council in the county earlier this month.
According to a statement by the local authority, a seven-year-old brown and white female horse was seized on December 13 from Grange, in Bruff, County Limerick.
According to the Council statement, the owners or keepers of the abandoned animal are not known.
Abandoned horses seized by the Council, if not claimed by their owner within five days, are re-homed to shelters outside of Limerick in accordance with the 1996 Control of Horses Act.
