ENABLE Ireland launched a new kitchen and sensory room at its Family Support and Respite Hub at the Delta Retail Park on the Ballysimon Road in Limerick City.
The opening was marked with a special Christmas coffee morning at the hub, bringing together families, service users, and staff to mark the milestone.
The ribbon was cut by Aontú councillor Sarah Beasley.
The new facilities were supported through donations by IDEX Pump Technologies, and include a welcoming café-style kitchen with all modern appliances, as well as a fully-equipped sensory room to support chlidren’s sensory needs and emotional regulation.
The state-of-the-art room includes sensory play panels, a curtained dark den, mood lighting and image projection, and soft play areas.
