TWO Limerick charities are to benefit from a funding allocation of €139,000 from the government.
The funding comes as part of a national allocation, and will see Limerick Animal Welfare receive €120,000, with €19,000 going to Limerick Feral Cats.
The news was welcomed by local Fianna Fáil TD Willie O’Dea who expressed warm praise for “the staff and all the volunteers in these two wonderful organisations for their dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes to animals in their care”.
Deputy O’Dea urged animal lovers across the city and county considering making donations to local charities to keep Limerick animal welfare organisations in mind.
