HAS Limerick got the fittest school in Ireland? That’s the question put out by Irish Olympian David Gillick, who teamed up with Fyffes in a quest to find Ireland’s Fittest School 2026.
Now in its fourth year and running for eight weeks from January 26, the programme aims at promoting the importance of fitness and healthy eating among young people.
It will feature recorded exercise routines by sprinter Gallick, alongside fitness trainer Sharon Flanagan.
Schools will compete against one another with performance tracked online.
Provinces will go head to head, with the best schools in Munster, Leinster, Connacht, and Ulster progressing to a grand final next May.
