Freeze warning in Limerick to last into Tuesday morning

THE Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning in place for Limerick has been extended yet again, with freezing conditions now expected to last until tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

Following two Status Yellow warnings for Limerick in the past two days, a third warning will now come into effect from 11am this Monday morning (January 5) and stay in place until 9am tomorrow morning.

Met Éireann issued the warning this morning following two days of ice and freeze warnings across the entire Munster region.

The weather service is warning of freezing temperatures of -1 to -3 across today and tonight, along with sharp frost, icy stretches, black ice, and “treacherous travel conditions”.
