Senior Garda starts new role in Mayorstone

A SENIOR Garda has taken up a new role in Mayorstone Garda Station as part of the implementation of the new ‘Policing Service for the Future’ plan.

Superintendent Alan Cullen, Gardaí confirmed this week, is to be on transfer to Mayorstone Garda Station with responsibility for the Limerick Performance Assurance Functional Area, Limerick Garda Division.

He transferred to Nenagh with responsibility for Clare East/ Tipperary North Community Engagement Area last summer.

A former head of the drugs squad at Henry Street Garda Station, he was the acting Superintendent in Bruff for a period prior to the Covid pandemic.

Superintendent Liam McGraynor is being promoted to take over his role in Nenagh, serving in the same capacity as Superintendent Cullen did.
