LABOUR Party councillor Pádraigh Reale asked Limerick Council for an update on the scheduled installation of bus shelters across the city in 2026.

In response, the Council explained that the National Transport Authority (NTA) last year appointed Bauer Media Outdoor to supply and install bus shelters throughout Ireland.

In 2025, Limerick City and County saw 50 bus stops upgraded as part of the Bus Stop Enhancement Programme.

“We have been advised that Bauer Media Outdoor are expecting to have a steady supply of bus shelters in Q2 of 2026.
