The 34th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOSP) will take place on Sunday January 25, at Dolans Pub & Restaurant, bringing together communities of all nationalities for a full day of music, family activities and fundraising in support of children’s healthcare.
“This event gathers millions of people in Poland and around the globe. It is called the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and this year it’s the 34th Finale.
“There will be family activities, auctions, food, music, performances of all sorts, Irish Dancers, High-heels performance, face painting etc… Last year we collected over 18k just in Limerick! The same event is happening in other cities in Ireland, and around the world on the same day.” says Aniela Nowak, who is volunteering with the event organisers.
WOSP is one of Europe’s largest charitable initiatives, uniting millions of people worldwide each year to support public healthcare.
The 2026 edition focuses on “Healthy Tummies for Our Children”, with funds raised dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of digestive system diseases in young patients.
Donations collected during the Finale help provide modern medical equipment, enable earlier diagnosis and support effective treatment for children in need.
The Limerick Finale is designed as a welcoming, family-friendly celebration that combines fun with purpose.
The programme runs from early afternoon into the evening and offers something for all ages, including:
• Children’s workshops and animations
• A family cooking competition
• Charity auctions and family bingo
• Science experiments
• Face painting, delicious food, live music and dance performances
The event will feature Stefan Barry Leszczynski, an Irish-Polish artist and historian, performing songs in Polish and as Gaeilge.
The evening will also include a live performance by Dora Gola, whose music blends dark electro-pop with Slavic folk influences, rich Eastern sounds and an ’80s funk groove.
Guests can also enjoy performances by Irish dancers from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, as well as the dynamic Sala Arda group with their high-heel routine.
Organisers warmly invite the entire local community, regardless of background or nationality, to join the celebration, enjoy the programme and support this important cause.
“Together, we can make a real difference for children’s health,” concludes Aniela.
