
LIMERICK City and County Council has gotten the nod for an impressive four awards at the 2026 LAMA All-Ireland Community and Council Awards.
Limerick Going for Gold is nominated in the Best Green Sustainable Initiative category. In the Community Volunteer of the Year category, Limerick Tidy Towns chair and Team Limerick Clean-up co-founder Helen O’Donnell is nominated.
The ‘Co-Plan, Keeping Limerick on Track’ digital platform is nominated in the Best Use of Technology and Innovation in Local Government category.
In the Best Community Transport Initiative, the Active Travel Interactive Map is nominated.
The awards, which celebrate exemplary projects, partnerships, and volunteers from Irish local authority and community groups, will take place on February 28 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre.
